The exciting day of a dog

Recently I read a blog that got me thinking about what a dog does on a normal day. I can tell you about Charlie's day and I can honestly say if it was me, i'd have been bored to death LONG ago. Its not that Charlie has a boring life... for a dog, but I could never live it as a person. I have millions of pictures of Charlie running, playing fetch, taking baths, riding in the car, going on walks, just laying in the middle of the floor, and he's posed for millions more. but what do I have soo many pictures of Charlie doing that it's ridiculous? Sleeping. He sleeps more then anything I've know. My hamster was nocturnal and he didn't sleep during the day as much as this dog does.

Yes that's a giant stuffed gorilla
(I was cleaning out my stuffed animals but this guys a keeper.)

This post doesn't really have a point... just the realization of what my dog does during the day is mind blowing. That after a walk, a game of fetch, some food, and some belly rubs he can go to sleep for 7 hours and get up the next day to do the same thing over and over again... And of course I really like pictures of dogs sleeping.

Speaking of pictures... Here are two of my favorites aannndd

I finally decided my favorite picture of Charlie EVER, and this is it! :)

HAVE A HAPPY WEEKEND!!!!!!

  1. Charlie is so cute!! And I definitely don't think it is possible to have too many photos of your dog sleeping. Sometimes, it is the only way I can take a photo of my dog as the rest of the time she moves way too fast. But when she is sleeping is when I appreciate her the most. ;-)

    Pats to your cutie!

  2. Ace has gotten really lazy as he's gotten older (he's almost 5). How old is Charlie again? He's always up for playing, walking, running, fetch or whatever. But if nothing's going on, well, might as well take a nap!

  3. Same with Charlie!

When we got him they said 3-5 years old so he could be 4-6. We don't know for certain.

  4. Actually what humans think is sleep is really not sleeping. Dogs are constantly on the alert for invaders. Watchdogs never sleep. My dogs assure me of that.

  5. I did not know that, but if I think about it when someone knocks on the door Charlie is the first one there... I still wouldn't want to do that all day though.
